AT SOUTH MOUNTAIN PARK, FAMILY CAMPING & RV RESORT INC.

It addition to our Theme weekends – we have activities going on every weekend, as well as on weekdays during July and August at South Mountain Park, Family Camping & RV Resort Inc. We play games, get crafty, have scavenger hunts, go on wagon rides, run bingos-for-kids, and let’s not forget our humongous jumper or our 100 foot inflated slip/slide-waterslide – that’s a blast for all ages! Also coming this year: Our Kids’ Bike Park has been added to our list as well as basketball and soccer! We are on a mission to make this the “activityest outdoorsyest” campground around! Weekend and Daily schedules are available at the store and are posted on our chalk boards.

June 19/21 – Weekend of Father’s Day Frivolities! We’re doing a wet wagon ride with as many dads as we can fit on our wagon ride. Bring your soakers and be prepared to be either amused or soaked or both! Come make your good-ole-dad a card or gift for Father’s day.

June 26/July 5 – Canada Weekends – You know it! We’re celebrating both weekends! Let them eat cake I say. Let them celebrate with fireworks and song. Let them join in the parade of decorated bikes and trikes. Dress up your four legged friends for their own pet parade. And for a break from all that cake and parading around we’re have a line-dancing dance (for both children and adults) the first weekend and a beach party (pool-side) with our favourite DJ Donny on the second weekend to wind up all the frivolities!

July 10/12 – Super Soaker Washout Weekend – Bring your soaker of choice and soak it all in! We’ll have soaker wagon-rides, hose-em-down tags, kids’ wash, talk about a wash-out and some good ole clean fun!

July 17/19 – How about trying to survive at South Mountain Park with some very interesting survivor games! We’re going for a spin around TV land in search of the most intriguing and hilarious games with a campground twist!

July 24/26 - Western Days are here! It’s a western roundup, It’s a western wagon ride complete with water guns! It’s time to catch and brand that camping bandit! Hee Haw!

July 31/Aug 3 - It’s the Monte Carlo weekend. Its GAMES Nite in Monte Carlo! It’s the scavenger hunt of all hunts that goes on for 3 days, count em! And for a cool-off nothing says it like a beach party, poolside with our own resident DJ Donny!

August 7/9 - This one’s definitely THE annoying weekend. It’s the shenanigans weekend! You just don’t know what might creep up on you this weekend and it might be in a nice way or not!

August 14/16 - This is the bewitching weekend to come camping. Its definitely not recommended for the faint at heart! Hop on the dress-up spell binding haunted wagon ride; go trick-or-treating and top it off with our mind boggling bewitchingly haunted lane at dusk and dark!

August 21/23 - The Carnival’s in Town – If you want to run away with the carnival, or is it the circus? This is your chance. Face painting, animal balloons, cotton candy, popcorn, games of chance and more games, even a garage sale.
What can I say – but that the Carnival’s in Town.

August 28/30 - Hey Matey! Hear that SMP has the best ship (wagon ride) to do battle on! Watch out – we might loot a campground site that tickles our fancy. We’ll capture a crew and make them walk the plank or do a peg leg race.

Sept. 4/Sept. 7 - Oh no, say it isn’t so - It can’t be September already! At South Mountain Park that means one thing and one thing only – its washer toss tourney time for campers of all ages. We’ll challenge the young-uns, then we’ll challenge the seasoned ones. We’ll throw in an auction and even a dance; after all – it’s September.

October 9/12 - Thanksgiving Weekend is usually camping-weather-friendly! Enjoy one last weekend of camping in the Annapolis valley – you can stock up on fruit and veggies at the numerous budget priced stands, take in the pumpkin people displays, do a vineyard tour of our local vineyards. Join in on the Thanksgiving activities at the New Ross Farm just down the road or sit back and just inhale the tantalizing aromas of turkeys grilling from all the campground sites.
